Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier: Nepal faces Thailand today

Nepal and host nation Thailand are playing today in the ‘Super Three’ stage of the Women’s T20 Asia Qualifier. The match has already started at 8:45 am (local time) at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok.

This is Nepal’s final match in the tournament. If Nepal win today, they will be the champions of the Asia Qualifier.

Yesterday, Nepal defeated UAE by 5 wickets and secured a place in the Global Qualifier for the T20 World Cup. With this, Nepal’s women’s cricket team have  made history.

Now, both Nepal and Thailand will represent Asia in the upcoming T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. A total of 10 teams will compete in the Global Qualifier, and the top four teams will advance to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in England in 2026.

So far, Nepal and Thailand have met six times in the Asia Cup, with Thailand winning all six matches.
