Rainfall in Kathmandu Valley and Several Other Regions

It's been raining in the Kathmandu Valley and various parts of the country, including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, since early morning of May 4. In the last one hour, Sarlahi recorded 12.4 millimeters of rainfall. 

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and wind in some hilly areas of Koshi and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few other places across the country throughout the day, said meteorologist Sanjiv Adhikari of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. 

This afternoon, the weather across the country will remain partly to generally cloudy. Light snowfall is also possible in some Himalayan regions. This weather pattern is expected to continue until tomorrow and the day after.
