Rain-induced Incidents Taking A Toll On Vehicular Movement Along Major Roads

With rains lashing different parts of the country, vehicular movement has come to a halt along different routes.    

Traffic movement has come to a complete halt at Daunne along the Butwal-Narayangadh road due to rains that have turned the stretch muddy and slippery, police on May 4, requesting road users to use alternative routes.

It may be noted that road expansion work along the Daunne stretch has been continuing for some days by shutting the stretch for vehicular movement from 11 pm till 5 am.

Meanwhile, traffic has come to a halt due to a dry landslide at the Hiundekhola road section along the Kaligandaki corridor, in Gaindakot (East) ward number 3, police said on Saturday. 

Vehicular movement along the Kanti Highway has come to a halt since 6 am on May 4 after a flooded Bagmati river swept away the diversion located at the border of Bhimfedi rural municipality-8, Makwanpur district and Bagmati rural municipality-2, Lalitpur district.
