Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the official foreign exchange rates for Sunday (May 4).
According to the bank, one US dollar is being bought at Rs 135.04 and sold at Rs 135.64, the euro at Rs 153.13 and Rs 153.81, the British pound at Rs 179.55 and Rs 180.35. The Swiss franc is exchanged at Rs 163.91 for buying and Rs 164.64 for selling, the Australian dollar at Rs 86.91 and Rs 87.30, the Canadian dollar at
Rs 97.71 and Rs 98.14, the Singapore dollar at Rs 104.19 and Rs 104.66.
Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are being exchanged at Rs 9.35 for buying and Rs 9.39 for selling, the Chinese yuan at Rs 18.57 and Rs 18.65, the Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 36.01 and Rs 36.17, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 37.05 and Rs 37.21. The Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.09 for buying and Rs 4.11, the UAE dirham at Rs 36.77 and Rs 36.93 and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 31.69 and Rs 31.83.
Additionally, the rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.65 for buying and Rs 9.69 for selling, the Swedish kronor for Rs 13.99 and Rs 14.06, the Danish kronor for Rs 20.52 and Rs 20.61 and the Hong Kong dollar for Rs 17.42 and Rs 17.50. Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar holds the highest value, with a buying rate of Rs 440.34 and a selling rate of Rs 442.30, followed by the Bahraini dinar with a buying rate of Rs 358.18 and selling rate of Rs 359.77, the Omani rial with a buying rate of Rs 350.76 and selling rate of Rs 352.32. Finally, 100 Indian rupees are exchanged at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
