Weather Update: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Many Areas

With the monsoon spreading across most parts of Nepal, rain is expected in different areas today. 

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the sky will remain mostly cloudy, and many places may see light to moderate rain throughout the day.

There’s also a chance of thunderstorms and lightning, especially in the hilly regions. Some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces could even see heavy rain.

Meanwhile, a few places in the higher hills and Himalayan regions might experience light rain or even snowfall.

As heavy rain could trigger floods or landslides, especially in vulnerable areas, the department has advised people to stay cautious. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on weather updates before traveling or planning outdoor activities.
