Nepal has announced its final squad for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers. Head coach Patrick De Wilde revealed the squad today for the tournament, which will take place in Uzbekistan. Among the players, Pratiksha Chaudhary has been included in the national team for the first time.
Nepal is placed in Group ‘F’ alongside host Uzbekistan, Laos, and Sri Lanka. Nepal will begin its campaign by facing Laos on Jun 29. The second match will be played against Sri Lanka on July 2, followed by the final group match against Uzbekistan on July 5.
The AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers feature 34 teams, divided into 8 groups. The winner from each group will secure a place in the main tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Australia next year. In total, 12 teams will compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026. Host nation Australia, along with China, South Korea, and Japan, has already secured their place in the tournament.
