Public and Private Vehicles Banned at Night on BP Highway

Starting from Asar 7 (June 21), all types of vehicles will be banned from operating on the BP Highway during nighttime hours, from 6:30 PM to 5:00 AM for a period of 15 days, according to an official notice issued by the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok.

The decision was made in coordination with the District Security Committees of Kavrepalanchok, Sindhuli, and Ramechhap, during an inter-district security meeting. Authorities said the measure is being taken due to potential risks related to the upcoming Manmohan Jayanti event and public safety concerns.

The restriction applies to both public and private vehicles, and the police have requested full cooperation from the public. DSP and spokesperson Min Bahadur Ghale informed that the temporary night ban is aimed at ensuring public security and smooth traffic management during the event period.
