The United States has sent back 80 Nepali citizens to Nepal. They arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday on a chartered flight.
According to Immigration Department spokesperson Tikaram Dhakal, 79 of those deported were men and one was a woman. They were deported for reasons such as lacking proper documents, staying illegally, or violating US immigration rules.
After arrival, the deported individuals were handed over to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. Officials questioned them, contacted their families, and asked them to file complaints if they had been sent to the US illegally by anyone.
