The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 9.43 points on Wednesday and closed at 2,705.38.
According to NEPSE, 21.64 million shares of 324 companies were traded in 89,766 transactions, with a total turnover of Rs 8.92 billion.
Except for the ‘Others’ sector, which increased slightly by 0.26 percent, all other sectors recorded losses. The banking sector fell by 0.18 percent, development banks by 0.59 percent, finance by 1.67 percent, hotels and tourism by 1.88 percent, and hydropower by 0.03 percent.
Likewise, the investment index dropped by 0.64 percent, life insurance by 0.36 percent, manufacturing and processing by 0.46 percent, microfinance by 0.26 percent, mutual funds by 0.65 percent, non-life insurance by 0.30 percent, and the trading sector by 1.21 percent.
