The CPN-UML will select representatives for its upcoming 11th General Convention from a total of 660,000 verified party members.

 

According to the party’s Organization Department Chief, Kashi Nath Adhikari, the members eligible for selection have renewed their memberships up to the end of Chaitra 2082. He said the process of verifying the organized membership has reached its final phase.

 

“We have nearly completed the verification of all organized members. Representatives for the General Convention will be chosen from around 660,000 members,” Adhikari stated.

 

He added that the party’s Secretariat meeting scheduled for tomorrow will finalize the criteria for selecting representatives.

 

In comparison, around 850,000 organized members had taken part in selecting representatives during the UML’s 10th General Convention.

 

The party has scheduled its 11th General Convention to be held in Pokhara from Mangsir 27 to 29.
