In response to growing security concerns following the September 8 and 9 protests, the government has directed all district administrations to strengthen safety measures for the private sector.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal issued a circular to Chief District Officers (CDOs) across all 77 districts, calling for an assessment of damages from the protests and a review of the current security situation. The directive urges local authorities to ensure effective coordination to prevent further risks to businesses.

The circular, sent through the Peace, Security, and Crime Control Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, also instructs CDOs to hold meetings of District Security Committees in collaboration with local business organizations, including the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to plan and implement security arrangements.
