UML Launches Election Campaign in Kathmandu Ahead of Parliamentary Polls

The CPN-UML is starting its election campaign in Kathmandu ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Party secretary Mahesh Basnet, who is in charge of Bagmati Province, said the Bagmati Province Committee will launch a special campaign in Kathmandu from January 18, including public rallies.

Another party secretary, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, who oversees the Capital Special Committee, said the committee will be officially announced, and the campaign in Kathmandu will start on January 16, following the party’s updated rules.

The CPN-UML Central Committee had decided on Poush 26 to run a nationwide campaign for the House of Representatives elections set for Falgun 21.
