The NEPSE index rose by 1.52 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,641.43. The market remained mostly stable throughout the day.
Trading turnover slightly dropped to Rs 6.2 billion from Rs 6.9 billion the day before. Among the listed companies, 125 saw their share prices go up, 124 went down, and 11 stayed the same.
Investors were mainly interested in the finance sector, which rose by 2.55%. Other sectors had mixed results. Hotel and tourism, hydropower, investment, non-life insurance, and trading sectors made small gains, while banking, life insurance, manufacturing, microfinance, and other sectors saw slight losses. Finance companies remained the most active in both price gains and overall trading.
