Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma said he has faced “disciplinary action” for the first time in his life.
Speaking at the party’s special convention, Sharma said that efforts to run the Nepali Congress in line with changing times now seem to lead to such action.
He also shared that he had already resigned from the post of general secretary earlier on Wednesday, before the convention began.
“I stepped down from the post early this morning. Pradeep Paudel and Gururaj Ghimire have already submitted their candidacies. Since I was no longer holding the post, there was no position left for which disciplinary action could be taken against me,” Sharma said.
