Tuesday's Nepal Super League to Feature the Bullet Man As the Special Guest

A great match teeming with euphoric fans aside, Tuesday’s fixture of the Nepal Super League at the Dashrath Stadium will feature a larger than life attraction: El Hombre Bala (the Bullet Man) alias Roberto Carlos.  

Carlos, widely regarded as one of the greatest left-backs in football history, will be a special guest during the match.

The footballer's visit, scheduled for Friday' (April 18), was put off on health grounds. 

Carlos made his senior debut for Brazil in 1992, earning more than 120 caps for the national team and playing an important role in Brazil’s 2002 FIFA World Cup victory.

Carlos spent almost the whole of his club career at Real Madrid, playing from 1996 till 2007. During his time with the La Casa Blanca, he won four La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions League trophies.

The great Gary Lineker remembers a young Carlos thus: I played in a friendly against him when he was young. This kid was running up and down the left wing. I said, 'We’ve got to find out who he is – let’s try and buy him.' They said, 'His name is Roberto Carlos and he's not for sale'.
