The stock market dropped by 9.99 points, while the market index, Nepse remained at 2,738 on Sunday. The trading volume increased slightly.
In comparison to 8.54 billion on Thursday, a total of 8.83 billion rupees worth of transactions was done. The prices of 63 companies increased, while 178 companies declined and 3 remained stable. Development Bank rose by 4.5%. The trade group also saw a 9% increment, with a significant rise in the value of Vishal Bazar Company, which contributed to the high growth in the trade group.
The banking sector decreased by 1.47%, finance by 2.96%, hydropower by 1.14%, investment by 1.15%, life insurance by 1.35%, manufacturing by 0.57%, microfinance by 0.92%, non-life insurance by 0.01%, and other sectors by 1.35%. On the other hand, the hotel and tourism group increased by 0.30%.
Apart from Vishal Bazar Company, the value of Corporate Development Bank, Sindhu Development Bank, Green Development Bank, and Sapta Koshi Development Bank rose by 10%.
The price of Janaki Finance dropped by 10%, while Nepal Finance decreased by 9.1%, Upkar Microfinance by 5.4%, Life Insurance Corporation by 4.6%, and Manushi Microfinance by 4.1%. Based on trading volume, Excel Development Bank, NRN Infrastructure, Nepal Finance, Miteri Development Bank, and Ngadi Group Power were at the front.
