The price of petroleum products has increased

The price of petroleum products has increased. Starting at midnight tonight, the Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a rise of one rupee per liter in the price of petrol.

Similarly, the price of aviation fuel has also increased. In a press release, the corporation informed that the price for domestic aviation fuel has increased by 2 rupees per liter, while for international flights from Kathmandu, the price has risen by 15 dollars per kiloliter.

However, the price of cooking gas remains unchanged. The corporation stated that despite the increase in fuel prices, cooking gas prices have been kept the same for now in consideration of consumer interests.

As a result of the price hike, the new petrol prices are as follows:

• First category: 157.50 rupees per liter
• Second category: 159 rupees per liter
• Third category: 160 rupees per liter

The first category includes areas such as Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. The second category includes Surkhet and Dang, while the third category includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.
