The Advertising Board has asked CAN to clarify Star Sports' NPL broadcast rights.

The Advertising Board has asked the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to clarify its decision to grant Star Sports the rights for live broadcasting of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Three media organizations-the Nepal Advertising Association, the National Advertising Association Nepal, and Media Alliance has issued a joint statement last Tuesday, calling the agreement illegal. In response, the Advertising Board wrote to CAN demanding for clarification.

The Board has also asked CAN to submit proof of the purchase agreement or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and provide detailed information about the arrangement within seven days.
