Thailand Claims Tri-Nation T20 Series Title

Thailand won the Tri-Nation Women’s T20 Cricket Series title. In the final match today, they beat Nepal by 7 wickets to take the top spot and claim the title.

Nepal set a target of 82 runs, but Thailand reached it in 17 overs, losing 3 wickets. Thailand’s captain, Naruemol Chaiwai, scored 27 runs, and Nannapat Suwanchonrathi made 23 runs. Nepal’s captain, Indu Barma, took 2 wickets, and Puja Mahato took 1.

Earlier, Nepal batted first after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. They managed to score 81 runs and lost 7 wickets in 20 overs. Samjhana Khadka was Nepal’s top scorer with 17 runs. Thailand’s Onnicha Kamchomphu took 3 wickets.

Thailand finished at the top with 10 points from 6 matches. The Netherlands came second with 8 points from 6 matches, and Nepal was at the bottom, losing all 6 matches and finishing with no points. Nepal lost 3 times to both Thailand and the Netherlands.
