The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing on a case involving Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane concerning the alleged misuse of a passport.
The hearing relates to a writ petition challenging the Attorney General’s Office decision to reinstate the passport misuse case against Lamichhane. According to the court calendar, the case will be heard on Monday by a bench of Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Nrip Dhwaj Niraula.
The writ was filed on April 3, 2023, by lawyer Yubaraj Safal, who questioned the legality of the then Attorney General Dinamani Pokharel’s decision to halt the case proceedings. The petition argues that the move was unlawful and contrary to existing legal provisions.
The case has been listed as the 12th item on Monday’s cause list, though it remains uncertain whether it will be taken up for hearing on the same day.
