President Ram Chandra Paudel has left for an official visit to friendly nation Japan.

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, ministers, security chiefs, senior government officials, and the Japanese Ambassador to Nepal saw him off at the VVIP Lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport.

The President is traveling with his wife, Sabita Paudel, along with senior government officials and staff from the Office of the President. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on February 4.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Paudel is leading a Nepali delegation to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government. The visit is being made to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan. During the visit, he will take part in a special anniversary program organized by the Japanese government.
