In the Nepal Premier League(NPL) Sudurpashchim Royals secured a spot in the final.
On Wednesday, Sudurpashchim defeated Janakpur Bolts by 8 wickets in the first qualifier to reserve their place in the final.
Now the Janakpur will have another chance to reach the final in the second qualifier, where they will compete against Karnali for a spot in the final.
At the TU Ground in Kirtipur, after winning the toss, Janakpur chose to bat first and set a target of 140 runs. Sudurpashchim chased down the target with 9 balls remaining, losing only 2 wickets.
In Sudurpashchim's comfortable win, opener Binod Bhandari played an unbeaten 58 runs off 55 balls. Brandon McMullan scored 25 runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee remained not out at 20.
Earlier, opener Saif Zaib had scored 32 runs. For Janakpur, Lalit Rajbanshi and Kishore Mahto each took one wicket.
Janakpur had scored 139 runs, losing 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. For Janakpur, Jimmy Neesham played a vital role with 45 runs off 23 balls. Apart from him, captain Asif Sheikh scored 11 runs, while Lahiru Milantha was out for 12 runs.
Similarly, Shubh Kansakar was dismissed after scoring 26 runs, Harsh Thakur was out for 12 runs, and Araniko Yadav was dismissed for 11 runs.
For Sudurpashchim, Dipendra Singh Airee took 3 wickets, while Saif Zaib claimed 2 wickets. Scott Kuggeleijn and Abhinash Bohara each took 1 wicket.
