Star cricketer Shikhar Dhawan arrived in Kathmandu

India’s star cricketer Shikhar Dhawan arrived in Kathmandu on Friday evening to play for the Karnali Yaks in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), where he was welcomed by team officials at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Speaking to the press, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his excitement about visiting Nepal for the first time, saying, "I am really excited to be here. I look forward to playing with the Karnali Yaks and interacting with the local players." In addition to his cricketing commitments, he shared his plans to explore some of Nepal's famous landmarks, including a visit to Pashupatinath for darshan.

Although he doesn’t know much about Nepali cricket, he recalled playing alongside Sandeep Lamichhane. He has been brought to Nepal by Karnali Yaks for a fee of 30,000 US dollars for one match. It is said that he will play at least four matches.
