Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire skipped the oath-taking of interim ministers at Sheetal Niwas, while National Assembly Chair Narayan Dahal attended. Ghimire had also boycotted PM Sushila Karki’s swearing-in last week.

The oath-taking ceremony of three newly appointed ministers in Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s interim government was held at Sheetal Niwas on Monday.
While National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal was present at the event, Speaker of the House Dev Raj Ghimire chose to remain absent.
This is the second time Speaker Ghimire has skipped an important swearing-in. He was also absent when Sushila Karki took the oath as Prime Minister on Friday, after being appointed by President Ram Chandra Paudel amid the Gen-Z movement’s pressure.
Soon after taking office, PM Karki dissolved the House of Representatives, further fueling the political turbulence.
