Santosh Narayan Shrestha, the newly appointed Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), has taken the oath of office and secrecy. He took the oath through Finance Minister Vishnu Prasad Paudel.
After taking the oath, he is set to assume responsibility for the board. Chairman Shrestha's term will be for four years. Shrestha mentioned that there is still a lot of work to be done, as Nepal's capital market is not operating at its full potential. He highlighted that he would focus on issues such as investment and investor protection, the launch of new products, and expanding market access.
