Shrestha appointed as chairman of SEBON

Santosh Narayan Shrestha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

The Chairman Recommendation Committee had recommended Santosh Narayan Shrestha along with two executive directors of the board, Navaraj Adhikari and Muktinath Shrestha.

Among the three, the Cabinet meeting on Monday appointed Shrestha as the chairman of SEBON. Prior to this, Shrestha had served as the Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority and comes from a professional background. He has completed his studies up to the Master's in Business Studies (MBS). The Securities Board had been without leadership since 20th of Poush last year.
