Schools Closed in Mahottari Due to Extreme Cold

All 15 local levels of Mahottari district have closed schools due to extreme cold. Cold winds, cold waves, thick fog, and mist have disturbed daily life, forcing authorities to announce temporary school holidays.

Local governments have declared holidays for two to three days. These days will be adjusted from the monsoon vacation. According to officials, the severe cold has badly affected students, so schools have been closed.

A strong cold wave with chilly winds has been affecting the Terai-Madhes region for the past few days. Children and elderly people are facing the most problems due to the cold.
