Conducive Environment in Place for March 5 Elections: Minister Kharel

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that a favorable environment has been created for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026.

 He said this after an all-party meeting that included political parties and Gen-Z representatives.
Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Ministry of Communications and the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Gandaki Province, Minister Kharel, who is also the government spokesperson, said the election is assured. He added that the government’s commitment, the Election Commission’s preparations, and the readiness of political parties have made the election possible.

He urged everyone to support the government so that the election can be held on the announced date.

Referring to the important role of the media, Minister Kharel asked journalists to share fair, creative, trustworthy, and fact-based news. He stressed that the media should remain positive and objective while informing the public.
