The Election Commission has listed government employees, security personnel, prisoners, and officials as temporary voters for the March 5 elections.

Ahead of the March 5 House of Representatives elections, the Election Commission has identified who will be included in the temporary voter list.
The Commission said government employees at federal, provincial and local levels, security personnel of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, prisoners, and officials deployed on election duty will be listed as temporary voters if they are already on the final voter roll. Residents of government-run or approved old age homes, as well as chiefs and officials of constitutional bodies, will also be covered.
An Election Commissioner will oversee the process with support from committees at the central and district levels. The EC said concerned agencies will provide voter details to election offices in both electronic and physical formats for updating the temporary voter register.
