One Dead, 16 Injured in Bhumikasthan Jeep Accident

One person died and 16 others were injured in a jeep accident involving students of Janajagruti Secondary School in Bhumikasthan Municipality.

The jeep (Lu 2 Cha 5179) was traveling from Bhumikasthan-10, Dhanchaur to Nuwakot when it met with an accident near Chirling Khola in Bhumikasthan-7. The driver, 45-year-old Rudra Bahadur Budhamagar of Bhumikasthan-10, Dhanchaur, died at the scene.

All the injured are being treated at Arghakhanchi Hospital. The students were on their way to take part in the municipal-level President’s Running Shield competition organized by the municipality. After the accident, Bhumikasthan Municipality announced that all games scheduled for today have been postponed.
