Communications and Information Technology Minister and government spokesperson Jagdish Kharel is set to hold separate meetings with senior leaders of major political parties on Friday as part of efforts to create a favourable environment for elections.
According to his secretariat, Kharel will meet Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba at 9:30 am, followed by talks with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli at his Gundu residence in Bhaktapur at 11 am. He is also scheduled to meet CPN (Maoist Centre) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at noon.
The government has intensified consultations with top leaders in a bid to ensure a conducive atmosphere for upcoming elections.
