Nepali Congress Begins Preparation for March 2026 House Election

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the party has already started preparing for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026.

Speaking during a meeting with Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel at his residence on Friday, Deuba said the Nepali Congress has clearly decided to take part in the election and that holding the polls is the party’s main priority.
According to Minister Kharel, Deuba also said the government should ensure a free and fair environment so the election can be conducted properly.

The meeting was part of the government’s ongoing talks with major political parties to build agreement and create a suitable environment for the upcoming election.
