Sapkota Elected As President Of ANNISU-R

Bijay Prakash Sapkota has been chosen as the president of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) or ANNISU-R, the student group of the CPN (Maoist Center).

After the final vote count at Parisdanda, Sapkota won by 73 votes over his competitor Hemant Rai.

Sapkota was supported by Maoist Center leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Deputy General Secretary Shakti Basnet, while Rai had the backing of Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma
