Ishwar Pokhrel Appointed Acting UML Chair During Oli’s Visit to Turkmenistan

CPN-UML Senior Vice-Chairman Ishwar Pokhrel has been appointed as the acting chair of the party during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to Turkmenistan.

According to UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, the decision was made under Article 21(2) of the UML Statute, which allows the party chair to delegate leadership in their absence.

Oli departed on Friday night to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. Pokhrel will manage party responsibilities until Oli returns later this week.
