A fire at a nightclub in Arpora, Goa, killed 25 people, including four Nepali citizens, officials said on Monday.

Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Shankar Sharma, expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and offered condolences to the families of those who died. He also wished a quick recovery for the injured.

Most of the victims were Indian nationals, including club staff and tourists from New Delhi.

Authorities said the fire started at the club, possibly due to electrical fireworks. It spread quickly from the wooden parts of the building, causing many casualties.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said four people have been arrested as part of the investigation. Officials have also ordered safety checks at other nightclubs in the area.
