A total of 114 political parties will take part in the House of Representatives election on March 5, 2026, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Out of 143 registered parties, 120 applied to take part in the election, and 114 were approved.
EC spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that 102 parties will use their own election symbols, while 12 parties will share joint symbols. In total, the Commission has given out 107 different symbols for the upcoming election.
The first four symbols on the list are: Sun, Tree, Star, and Bell. Other symbols include the Plough, Tilted Umbrella, Loudspeaker, Flat-Bottomed Tray, Bicycle, Madal, Glass, Walking Stick, Open Eye, Deer, and Two Hands Folded in Namaste.
The Election Commission said that all symbols were assigned according to the law and will be used by political parties across the country in the upcoming election.
