The Election Commission has completed the process of selecting and distributing election symbols for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026. A total of 120 political parties had applied to take part in the election.
Out of these, 102 parties were given their own individual symbols, while 12 parties that applied as alliances were given shared symbols. Altogether, 107 election symbols will be used in the upcoming polls. Even though 143 political parties are officially registered, only 114 will actually contest the election.
Among the symbols assigned, the first four are the sun for CPN-UML, the tree for the Nepali Congress, the star for the Nepali Communist Party, and the bell for the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
