PM Sushila Karki to Meet Durga Prasai Today

Prime Minister Sushila Karki is scheduled to meet Durga Prasai today, the Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed.

The meeting will take place at 3 PM at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The PM’s Secretariat said the schedule was set after Adarsha Kumar Shrestha, the Prime Minister’s chief personal secretary, formally invited Prasai for the talks.

Earlier, on November 28, Prasai met Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal at Singha Durbar and submitted a 27-point demand, including a call to abolish the current political system. During that meeting, he also asked for a chance to present his views directly to the Prime Minister.

In response, the Prime Minister’s Press Coordinator Ram Rawal confirmed that a 3 PM slot had been set aside for the meeting.

So far, the talks between Prasai and the government have been facilitated by lawyers Binodmani Bhattarai and Lavan Nyaupane.
