Harka Sampang, Chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party and Mayor of Dharan, said Nepal cannot move forward without leaders who have a clear vision.

Speaking at a party event on Monday in Sifal, Kathmandu, he criticized current leaders for not having proper plans, saying their repeated time in power has slowed the country’s development. He highlighted the need for serious discussions about what kind of leadership Nepal needs.

Sampang accused many leaders of caring only about their own benefits instead of the nation. Because of this, he said, the country has ended up with unfair treaties and agreements. He explained that the Shram Sanskriti Party aims to mobilize Nepal’s youth for national progress.

He warned that if his party wins a majority and still fails to bring major changes within five years, people might feel forced to give up their nationality and look for refuge in other countries.

Sampang added that anyone who joins the party with corrupt motives will be expelled immediately.
