Foreign guests, who came to Kathmandu for the Sagarmatha Sambaad, were taken on special mountain flights today. They saw the beautiful Himalayan mountains, including the highest peak, the Sagarmatha (8848.86 meters).
The flight lasted about one hour and was led by Nepal’s Minister of Forests and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepal Tourism Board helped organize this trip for the visitors.
Deepak Raj Joshi, the head of Nepal Tourism Board, said the flight was made to show the guests the amazing nature of Nepal and to get them to see the effects of climate change on the mountains. He said steps like these help promote Nepal as a great place for adventure and nature tourism.
The guests enjoyed the views very much and said it was a wonderful experience to see the snowy mountains from the air.
