The SAFF U-20 Women's Championship 2025 is starting today in Bangladesh. The matches will be played at the Bashundhara Kings Arena, kicking off at 6:15 PM Nepali time. This tournament features young women footballers under 20 years of age from South Asian countries competing for the championship title.
Nepal and Bhutan are meeting again in this age group after two years. In the previous tournament held in Bangladesh, Nepal had a strong win against Bhutan with a 4–0 score. This time, the competition includes four teams: Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, meaning each team will face every other team twice. The team that collects the most points by the end of all matches will be declared the champion.
Nepal’s schedule is busy, starting with a match against Bhutan today. They will then play Bangladesh on Sunday, followed by two matches against Sri Lanka on Asar 32 (July 16) and Shrawan 1 (July 17). Later, Nepal will face Bhutan again on Shrawan 3 (July 19) and finish the tournament with a match against Bangladesh on Shrawan 5 (July 21). The tournament promises exciting football as these young teams compete for the top spot.
