Under the House of Representatives election, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Swarnim Wagle has been elected from Tanahun-1.
He secured a total of 38,040 votes, winning by a margin of 21,809 votes. His closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai, received 16,231 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Bhagwati Neupane secured 5,830 votes.
In the previous by-election, Wagle had also won from the same constituency with a margin of 14,797 votes.
