The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to hold an election rally in Dhangadhi today.
The rally, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., will be attended by party chair Rabi Lamichhane and senior leader Balen Shah. Chair Lamichhane arrived in Sudurpaschim on Tuesday to participate in the program.
According to Anand Bahadur Chand, the RSP candidate for the House of Representatives from Kailali Constituency-5, Balen Shah is scheduled to arrive in Dhangadhi today.
A significant turnout of party supporters is expected as the two leaders visit Dhangadhi. Anticipating a large crowd, police have tightened security arrangements.
DSP Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office Kailali, said additional police personnel have been deployed in Dhangadhi. “We have mobilized additional officers, including an investigation team, in the Dhangadhi area,” he said, adding that more personnel are on standby if required. Armed Police Force units have also been mobilized.
Rabi Lamichhane and Balen Shah are scheduled to address the rally at 12 noon.
