RSP Accepts Resignation Tendered by Sumana Shrestha, Anil Keshari Shah

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has accepted the resignation tendered by joint general secretary of the party, Sumana Shrestha, and chief of its training department, Anil Keshari Shah.  

Shrestha had resigned the party position on April 1, expressing her intent to focus more on her responsibility as a member of the parliament. 
The party's central committee meeting held on Sunday accepted the resignations. 

Shah had tendered his resignation on May 11, stating that the position was not suitable for him. In his resignation letter, Shah is learnt to have expressed willingness to shoulder the responsibility of any other department.
 

Shrestha and Shah will continue as central committee members of the party. At Sunday's meeting, Shrestha reportedly said that the party should stand unitedly against excesses committed against Rabi Lamichhane, who is behind bars on the charge of embezzling depositors’ savings.
