The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has released its election manifesto for the House of Representatives election on March 5. The party focuses on restoring the monarchy, reforming the electoral system, and creating a two-tier governance structure.
The RPP aims to make Nepal a Hindu state again, with the monarchy serving as a guardian institution. It proposes removing the current provincial system and having a strong central government alongside empowered local governments. The party also supports a Vedic Sanatan Hindu state that ensures religious freedom and harmony among all faiths, and a local governance system without political parties.
The manifesto emphasizes building a strong, prosperous, and developed Nepal based on the “Prithvi Path” philosophy. It criticizes national politics for serving parties and leaders more than the people.
Economically, the RPP plans to focus on hydropower, water resources, tourism, agriculture, information technology, good governance, the skills and investments of Nepalis abroad, and the private sector as key drivers of growth.
