The Kathmandu District Court has decided to release RPP General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana on bail of Rs 300,000.
The order came from Judge Shiv Prasad Khanal on Monday. Rana was arrested for allegedly helping incite violence during a royalist protest in Tinkune on Chaitra 15. Though he was earlier released with the condition to appear in court, he hadn’t shown up until now. He finally appeared on Monday.
Meanwhile, RPP’s senior vice president Rabindra Mishra, who was also released on similar conditions, is still out of contact.
