Dr. Keshav Shrestha, who posted a sensitive “Goodbye” message on Facebook early Monday morning, has been found safe by police after an extensive search.
At 9:47 AM, Dr. Shrestha shared a long post expressing feelings of hopelessness and apologized to his family. The post quickly went viral. Soon after, his phone went offline, prompting concern from authorities.
Police traced his last known location to Chabahil and launched a coordinated search involving the Cyber Bureau and Kathmandu Police. Utilizing CCTV footage and phone tracking, the police identified his whereabouts near Balaju by early afternoon.
Dr. Shrestha was located at the Srinath Boutique Resort in Tarkeshwor Municipality-3 and was rescued by the police around 1:30 PM. He is now being escorted to the Kathmandu District Police Office at Bhadrapur.
Dr. Shrestha, who served as superintendent at Ramechhap District Hospital for 18 months, had recently expressed frustration on social media about being prevented from working.
Police continue to monitor his condition.
