Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, met with the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder, on Monday to talk about the recent conflict between Israel and Iran.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Rana asked about the safety of Nepali people living in Israel. She requested the Israeli government to make sure Nepalis are protected and get any help they need.

Ambassador Goder said that all Nepali citizens in Israel are safe. He assured that Israel is committed to keeping Nepalis and other foreign workers safe.

This meeting took place as many in Nepal are worried about the safety of Nepalis in Israel, where thousands work in farming and caregiving jobs. A day earlier, Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said in a press release that Nepalis in both Israel and Iran are safe.

Minister Rana also spoke by phone with Nepali ambassadors in Tel Aviv and Doha. She told them to stay alert and focus on protecting Nepalis in the region.

The ministry says it is watching the situation closely and is ready to take action, including evacuation if needed, to keep Nepali citizens safe.
