Ongoing heavy rainfall has prompted the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to issue alerts for several regions, including Kaski, Lamjung, and Ilam.
In Lumle and nearby areas of Kaski, continuous rain has raised concerns about sudden flooding in small rivers and the possibility of landslides in steep or weak terrain. Residents have been advised to stay cautious.
Earlier, a similar warning was issued for Bhujung and surrounding areas of Lamjung, where weather conditions remain unstable. At 5:30 AM today, the department also reported that water levels at the Kankai and Mainachuli hydrological stations in Ilam have crossed the alert threshold.
With rainfall likely to continue through the afternoon, people living in flood-prone and low-lying areas have been urged to remain on high alert.
