The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported moderate rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on Friday night.
Significant rainfall was measured in Sindhupalchok’s Chautara (44.2 mm in the past three hours), Tanahun’s Devghat (33.8 mm), and Sunsari’s Chatara (16.4 mm).
At present, light to moderate rain is still falling in some hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati, as well as in a few places in Gandaki and Karnali. The Kathmandu Valley is also experiencing light showers.
Forecasters say the weather will remain mostly cloudy across the country this afternoon. Moderate rain is likely in some hilly areas and a few Tarai regions, while heavy rainfall is possible in certain hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
Tonight, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide. Moderate rain may occur in parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in some hilly and Tarai regions. The department has also warned of the possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated areas during the night.
